Kimi K3 Subscriptions Paused Due to Compute Shortage
sull · x · 2026-07-19
Moonshot stated that demand for Kimi K3 has vastly exceeded current compute capacity in the past 48 hours. To prioritize the experience of existing subscribers, the team has temporarily paused new subscriptions and is allocating compute priority to current members.
The official statement noted they will expand capacity as soon as possible and resume new subscriptions in batches. Meanwhile, the membership system will be split into two more focused plans: Kimi Membership for Kimi Web / App / Work, and Kimi Code Membership for coding workflows, in order to more precisely match compute resources and stabilize the user experience.
