GPT-5.6 is Over-Engineered

The author spent months heavily constraining 5.5 with a custom harness, but 5.6 stalls progress out of the box. It wastes excessive time building frameworks, running checks, pre-checks, and setting up failure gates.
Now, every time they prompt 5.6, they have to explicitly emphasize: do not over-engineer, this is a greenfield project, and it won't be maintained long-term beyond the current run.
