Alibaba's Tongyi Qwen has announced that Qwen3.8 will soon be released as an open-weight model. Official sources state it features 2.4T parameters, is still continuously evolving, and claims capabilities on par with frontier models, second only to Fable 5.
Meanwhile, Qwen3.8-Max-Preview is already live on Alibaba's Token Plan, Qoder, and QoderWork, available for users to try out right now.
