A retrospective on an X account phishing attack: The attacker used a verified fake journalist account to send a DM baiting with a "TechCrunch story." The victim was then directed to a convincing fake Calendly/TechCrunch page.
The critical danger wasn't the surface-level "booking," but an OAuth authorization. The author noted that Fable identified the entire social engineering trap in about 10 minutes, but warned that if abused, this capability could make attacks even more dangerous.
