Prompt Engineering to Make LLMs Tell the Truth

Preslav Nakov will deliver a keynote at the PromptEng Workshop during WWW 2026 titled "Prompting LLMs to Tell the Truth."
His core thesis is that the next phase of prompt engineering goes beyond simply asking the model the right questions. Systems must be designed to retrieve evidence, assess uncertainty, and identify risks, ultimately assisting human judgment rather than merely generating answers.
