In a Limbo clone demo, the author compared the output performance of Fable 5 and Kimi K3.
- Fable: 2,400 lines of code, generated 24K tokens, cost $1.20.
- Kimi: 3,000 lines of code, generated 30K tokens, cost only $0.12 (10x cheaper).
The author observed that Fable offered slightly better visuals, smoother character movement, and superior backgrounds. However, Kimi proactively added more gameplay elements on the first generation, such as light poles, movable razors, and more complete intro/outro transitions. Despite being slightly buggier, Kimi was much more proactive out of the gate, with overall results surprisingly close to Fable's.
