User Cancels Anthropic for OpenAI
soumitrashukla9 · x · 2026-07-19
A user shared a post about canceling their Anthropic subscription, complaining that the model gave overly conservative and templated responses during research and debugging, failing to drive real progress.
After switching to OpenAI's models, they claimed to have solved the problem in just 3 prompts, highlighting the AI's ability to automatically derive math, retrieve arXiv papers and source code, and continuously propose next steps. The attached image shows the cancellation form, where they selected "another AI product better suits my needs" and cited frustrations with product stability and behavioral consistency.
