LeCun on the Humanoid Robotics Dilemma

Yann LeCun believes that current humanoid robotics companies generally still don't know how to build robots that are "smart enough to be genuinely useful."
He points out that the real driver behind the robotics boom is the need for advancements in AI's ability to understand the physical world. LLMs are certainly useful, he notes, but they solve a completely different category of applications.
