Gabor Fields: New Volume Rendering Code Released

Researchers released code for Gabor Fields at SIGGRAPH 26. It offers a new way to understand volume rendering primitives and can be viewed as a variant of Gaussian splatting.
This method supports principled Level of Detail (LOD) control and achieves extreme rendering acceleration when combined with control variate theory, showing significant technical potential in 3D reconstruction and rendering.
