Cybersecurity Evaluation of Open-Weight Models
AravSrinivas · x · 2026-07-19
Based on internal evaluations:
- Kimi K3 is already top-tier in cybersecurity tasks. While critics claim it suffers from "benchmark overfit," reports indicate it possesses genuine, high-level capabilities.
- Sol pushes cyber capabilities even further, though at a significantly higher cost.
- Fable, on the other hand, refuses almost all tasks and cannot even complete a full run.
Conclusion: Frontier open-weight models are already highly capable in cybersecurity, and they can be effectively utilized for defensive purposes.
