Musk: Neuralink Will Give the Blind Superhuman Vision

Elon Musk recently suggested that future brain-computer interface technology will not only restore vision to the blind but will eventually offer resolution surpassing the human eye. He noted that human vision is currently limited by a biological evolutionary ceiling, and Neuralink's goal is to completely bypass this biological system.

Musk envisions future brain-computer interfaces functioning like characters in Star Trek, capable of switching between radar, ultraviolet, and infrared wavelengths, while also possessing microscopic precision and eagle-eye visual acuity. This means vision will no longer be constrained by the physiological structure of the retina but will become a digital input with freely selectable and switchable frequency bands. Consequently, blindness will no longer be a physiological defect, but rather an "early access" privilege to perceive beyond standard human limits.
