ChatGPT Voice Mode Interrupts Too Much
Unknowledge99 · reddit · 2026-07-19
While using ChatGPT's voice mode for a deadline task, the author initially found it incredibly useful. However, they soon discovered the free/low-tier quota is limited to 1 hour a day, prompting an upgrade to Pro for the 12-hour limit.
Post-upgrade, the voice input began interrupting frequently, making natural conversation impossible. This caused constant tension and distraction, making the author wonder if the feature "sabotaged itself." They posted to ask for advice on two things: how to turn off the interruptions, and how to avoid getting frustrated over it.
