Using ChatGPT as a Mental Gym
Training-Contract789 · reddit · 2026-07-19
The author believes that simply "asking for answers" is one of the least interesting ways to use ChatGPT.
Instead, he advocates treating it as "mental gym equipment": have the model assign you a stance, argue in its defense, and then switch stances to keep debating. The core idea isn't to outsource your thinking, but to train your own reasoning and spot logical flaws through continuous counter-argument and adversarial dialogue.
