Choosing Local SDXL Models for RTX 4060 8G
ostseesound · reddit · 2026-07-18
This is a recommendation request for local image generation models. The author's hardware setup includes:
- RTX 4060 Laptop 8GB
- 16GB DDR5 RAM
- Windows 11 + i5 12450H
The goal is to build a local AI character system with the following requirements:
- Realistic portraits/selfies/daily photos
- Character consistency
- General image generation
- Primarily local, offline usage
- Hardware-friendly with reasonable VRAM usage
The author is currently looking at SDXL models like Juggernaut XL v10 and RealVisXL, asking which one is the best right now, or if they should combine 2-3 models to cover both realistic and anime styles.
