TikTok Tests AI Portrait Recognition Tool

TikTok is testing an opt-in tool with select US creators to scan for AI-generated fakes of their own likenesses, allowing them to report these to the platform.
Creators participating in the test must first verify their identity through Jumio, which requires a live selfie and an ID check. TikTok stated that it will not retain ID documents or facial data. YouTube is also rolling out a similar tool and has already made it available to all adult users.
