Databricks Valued at $188 Billion

Databricks is raising funds at an $188 billion valuation. CEO Ali Ghodsi told CNBC that China's new Kimi model K3 is a "game changer" with a notable quality leap and lower price.
He also noted that Fortune 500 companies' AI costs are rising "exponentially" while revenue growth lags. His advice: Reserve the hardest problems for frontier US models and pay a premium; use cheaper open-source models for everyday tasks.
