Open-Source Collage B-Roll Workflow Adopted Abroad

AlchainHust · x · 2026-07-18

An open-sourced "paper collage explainer video" B-roll skill has been recognized and promoted by the founding team of overseas company MaxFusion AI.

After attempting to reverse-engineer this viral video style, the team discovered the original author had already open-sourced the entire method. They not only published a detailed breakdown praising the approach but also forked an English version (MIT license).

The workflow's standout feature is its cost-control design: in testing across 90 videos, only 2 required re-generation. The core mechanism relies on more than just prompts. It utilizes three approval gates, a blank-first-frame technique, and a color semantic system. By adhering to the principle that "text is free, static frames are cheap, and video is expensive," it ensures two low-cost confirmations are passed before generating expensive video assets.
