Ethan Mollick believes that Chinese open-weight LLMs have become incredibly strong, raising concerns about the competitive landscape once they evolve into large, valuable businesses.
He noted that the pecking order among these models is shifting rapidly: K3 outperforms GLM-5.2, which in turn beats DeepSeek v4, making the competition extremely fierce. The open question is whether all these models can stay on the same track.
