Startup Revenue Distribution: Most Remain Unprofitable
marclou · x · 2026-07-17
@trust_mrr compiled the last 30 days' revenue distribution statistics for 8,281 startups: - 51% are at **0 revenue** (pre-revenue) - 35% make **less than $1K** per month (coffee money) - 10% fall into the **$1K–$10K** range (ramen profitable) - 3% reach **$10K–$100K** (steak profitable) - 0.4% exceed **$100K** (yacht w/ AC) This distribution visually illustrates the long tail of startup revenue: the vast majority haven't found product-market fit yet, and true high-revenue earners are a very small minority.
