@trustmrr compiled the last 30 days' revenue distribution statistics for 8,281 startups:
- 51% are at 0 revenue (pre-revenue)
- 35% make less than $1K per month (coffee money)
- 10% fall into the $1K–$10K range (ramen profitable)
- 3% reach $10K–$100K (steak profitable)
- 0.4% exceed $100K (yacht w/ AC)
This distribution visually illustrates the long tail of startup revenue: the vast majority haven't found product-market fit yet, and true high-revenue earners are a very small minority.
