BRDFusion Open-Sourced: Urban Scene Inverse Rendering
anand_bhattad · x · 2026-07-17
BRDFusion introduces a method that integrates physics-based inverse rendering with generative modeling. Designed to process video inputs of urban road scenes, it decomposes the footage into:
- Geometry
- Materials
- HDR lighting
Based on this decomposition, the system enables features such as:
- Relighting
- Night simulation
- Dynamic object insertion
The post also confirms that the project is now open-source, alongside additional demos.
