Grok Build Major Update Released
mark_k · x · 2026-07-17
Grok Build received a major update focused heavily on coding agent/terminal workflow capabilities:
- Added /jump to instantly return to any historical turn.
- Added a /timeline sidebar for quick navigation in long conversations.
- Local sessions now retain shell environment variables and the current directory.
- Bash mode includes more complete terminal-style tab completion.
- Consecutive edits to the same file collapse into a single scrollable replay record.
- Edit outputs can be replaced with a compact one-line summary instead of expanded diffs.
- Enterprise deployments can batch configure permission modes.
- Enhanced support for Grok Projects and marketplace plugins.
Additionally, this update fixes numerous issues covering rewind, background tasks, subagents, login flows, terminal commands, voice transcription, network-mounted directories, keyboard navigation, installation/upgrades, and permission prompts.
