Google Open-Sources Character Description Format
Additional-Cup-8889 · reddit · 2026-07-17
Google has open-sourced GNM, a structured format for describing characters. It can represent a character's body, face, hair, and other features within a unified structure.
The author argues that this type of format is much better suited as foundational infrastructure than scattered prompts. It is easier to integrate into other projects and highly conducive to building workflows for stable and consistent character generation. The project is released under the Apache 2.0 license to facilitate secondary development.
