Researchers Replacing Typing with Agents

a16z partner David George observed during visits to top AI companies that researchers no longer rely primarily on typing. Instead, they softly direct a swarm of agents on screen.
He concludes that typing speed has become the new bottleneck in these teams, with manual input potentially being 5 to 10 times slower than direct coding.
