Long Contexts Make Tier-2 Hardware Viable
teortaxesTex · x · 2026-07-17
The author argues that as models feature stronger in-context learning, 1M context windows, and greater autonomy, the old excuse of an "immature software stack" will become less relevant.
In this context, tier-2 hardware like Biren and Moore Threads could become viable again, essentially getting a boost from advancing model capabilities in certain scenarios.
