Someone built a skinning tool for the Codex desktop client, securing 7000+ stars in 2 days. It leaves the official installer and code signing untouched, achieving theme effects through local CDP injection.
The README warns that while the CDP debugging port is open, any program on the machine could theoretically connect and control the window. Therefore, users should avoid running untrusted local programs while the theme is running.
