Frontier LLMs Won't Necessarily Kill Vertical AI

Everett Randle argues that frontier AI labs are unlikely to crush all vertical AI startups.
His core thesis is that LLM companies have bigger fish to fry. They won't dedicate top-tier resources to the grueling, top-down enterprise sales cycles required by specific industries. Take legal AI, for instance: even if Anthropic launched a "Claude for legal," they probably wouldn't assemble a dedicated SWAT team to aggressively capture that niche market long-term.
