ChatGPT's Long Replies Ruin Mobile Reading Experience
MPforNarnia · reddit · 2026-07-17
Following a recent update, responses have become longer and more detailed, but the reading experience on mobile devices has significantly degraded.
The original poster mentioned that they even export replies to EPUB format to read them. For instance, when asking ChatGPT to annotate Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy articles, reading within the app becomes painful: asking a follow-up question loses your current place, and quickly opening references messes up the context. The author is looking to see if others have better alternative solutions.
