Tidesman Update: Apple Container MCP
JeronimoColon · reddit · 2026-07-17
Tidesman released v0.2, a native MCP server designed for Apple's container tool.
What's New
- Added image tools: list / inspect / pull / tag / delete
- Previously only supported containers, now totaling 14 tools
- Host directory mounting changed to an explicit startup whitelist instead of blanket access
- Underlying typed-error contracts improved to provide models with actionable error messages (e.g., prompting to start the engine if off, or pull missing images)
Other Info
- Exclusively supports macOS 26 + Apple Silicon
- Free but closed-source, includes a proprietary EULA
- Read-only by default; write and destructive operations require explicit privilege escalation
- Installation: brew install JeronimoColon/tidesman/tidesman
