Open Source Tool Turns Chat History Into 3D Map
iamjohncarterofmars · reddit · 2026-07-17
The author has open-sourced a tool called Constellate, designed to consolidate years of chat histories from various AI chatbots into an interactive 3D context map. It supports importing exported chat logs from ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, automatically clustering them by topic, or plotting them on coordinates based on time and theme to visualize the evolution of conversations.
The project can also automatically sync new exports in local folders and periodically refresh Claude histories. Additionally, it supports exporting to an Obsidian vault, JSON snapshots, and a context pack that can be directly fed into new LLM sessions. The author also mentions integration with Apple Intelligence to summarize context clusters.
