Codex Plugin Enables Multi-Model Task Division
dr_cintas · x · 2026-07-17
An open-source plugin named Codex-Orchestration allows assigning different models to different roles in Codex: for example, having Fable 5 handle planning and Sol handle execution, with Codex handling routing and sequencing. The author reports that when applied to a set of historically difficult problems, it completed them in 30 minutes, with 40% fewer limit hits and 2x faster implementation compared to previous solutions.
The installation method is provided: add Cjbuilds/Codex-Orchestration via the plugin marketplace in Codex, then configure model roles using advisor/executor directives.
