Traceforce Launches AI App Security Monitoring
XiaHua · hn · 2026-07-17
Traceforce (YC S26) launched an enterprise-focused AI application security monitoring product. It detects which AI apps (like ChatGPT or Claude) employees are using across laptops, sandboxes, and VMs, and how these apps connect to other data sources via MCP.
It aims to provide a unified way for employees to verify if AI software is running safely, while giving security teams visual monitoring and real-time alerts to catch unsafe operations early. The product is a lightweight endpoint binary + browser extension, taking about 30 minutes to start uploading device-level activity data to a backend dashboard. The team also open-sourced a dynamic MCP penetration testing tool, mcp-xray, to discover vulnerable MCPs.
