a16z has led a $20 million seed round for Runta.
Runta focuses on providing an "execution layer" for AI agents: ensuring agents remain constrained and controllable at runtime. It supports local or cloud deployments and offers enterprise-grade security and policy controls. Founder Guanlan previously led the edge proxy at Cloudflare and the core proxy at Kong, and a16z partner Martin Casado will be joining the board.
