X Updates Anti-Cheat Rules for Creator Revenue Sharing
nikitabier · x · 2026-07-16
X's creator revenue sharing program has updated its anti-cheating rules: using engagement-bait tactics like "I will follow everyone who replies" 3 or more times in a row will result in removal from the program, and the account will be handed over to the policy team. Grok can now also identify such behavior.
The platform stated that nearly 4,000 accounts have already been removed from the revenue sharing program today. The new model's recognition rate for repeated content has increased to 3 times the previous level. When watermarks, prefaces, or other edits are added to the original author's content, the related revenue will flow back to the original uploader; this also applies to copied viral text posts. In this round, the platform detected a total of 1.5 million pieces of stolen content and expects to return over $1 million to original creators.
