Sakana Orchestrator Integrates Nemotron
The Decoder · rss · 2026-07-16
Sakana AI integrated Nvidia's open-source Nemotron model into its orchestrator Fugu, attempting to approximate the capabilities of a single frontier model through "collective intelligence" style multi-model collaboration.
The core argument is that a single open-source model might not directly catch up with frontier systems. However, by coordinating and dividing labor among multiple models, the overall performance could approach that of top-tier models. However, this announcement does not yet provide specific benchmark numbers to prove the effectiveness of the new combination.
