Understand Anything: Turn Codebases into Knowledge Graphs
KhuyenTran16 · x · 2026-07-16
When dealing with large codebases, querying an LLM piece by piece makes it hard to see the global structure. The open-source tool Understand Anything offers a solution: simply input the /understand command to automatically generate a visual, interactive graph of the codebase.
Core features of the tool include:
- Mapping files, functions, classes, and their dependencies into an interactive knowledge graph;
- Supporting quick code location via fuzzy matching and semantic search;
- Providing /understand-chat to ask questions about code logic in natural language;
- Automatically generating onboarding guides for new members.
