Multi-Agent Token Budget Library Updated
Opus_craft · reddit · 2026-07-16
token-budget-contracts releases v0.3.0, focusing on better integration with real multi-agent frameworks.
Core updates
- Native LangGraph adapter: Nodes can be directly wrapped with gov.wrap(...) to manage budgets per agent.
- Native CrewAI adapter: Enforces governance at stable boundaries during agent task execution and reads exact usage via usagefn.
- OpenTelemetry integration: Emits tbc. spans for every budget reallocation, block, and accounting event for easy monitoring in Grafana / Datadog / Honeycomb.
- Precise billing: Supports using the actual token count returned by the model API instead of estimates.
The author notes the project is still in early development and seeks feedback from users applying these adapters in real LangGraph or CrewAI graphs.
