ChatGPT Reportedly Sends Messages on Its Own
Rizzon1724 · reddit · 2026-07-16
A Reddit user reported that the ChatGPT mobile app started speaking on its own with almost no input. Every minute or two, it would initiate speech and then respond to its own previous sentences, seemingly advancing the conversation "spontaneously."
The author found the phenomenon fascinating, noting that merely typing a single dot (".") seemed to trigger a state update. They invited others to try it out or continue branching the conversation thread.
