Bricklaying robots deliver 100 homes
tszzl · x · 2026-07-16
Monumental's robots have completed 100 residential homes, a school, a hotel, a community center, and hundreds of meters of brickwork along Amsterdam's canal walls.
Shared updates emphasize their accelerating pace: work completed in the last three months accounts for half of their historical deliveries. The original post also envisions driving housing construction costs down to near material costs, and eventually to a level of "materials + energy + robot labor," arguing this will make future architecture more beautiful.
