Inkling Open-Weight Multimodal Model Released
TheZachMueller · x · 2026-07-16
Thinking Machines has released their first public model, Inkling.
- The model can perform reasoning across text, image, and audio
- Full weights are open
- Available today for fine-tuning on Tinker
- Can also be experienced directly in the Inkling Playground
The key takeaway here isn't just that there is a "new model," but rather that this is an open-weight multimodal model release that is already in a fine-tunable, playable state.
