OpenAI Hits 8M Users, Removes Usage Limits

OpenAI announced that combined active users for Codex and ChatGPT Work have surpassed 8 million. To encourage users to push the boundaries of GPT-5.6 Sol, the company reset usage quotas for all users and completely removed the previous 5-hour rate limits. The post also jokingly remarks on how the Anthropic CEO might be feeling the pressure from this growth.
