MCP Servers Boost Coding Agent Bug Fix Rates
Pleasant-Ad192 · reddit · 2026-07-15
The author tested how coding agents perform when fixing code dependency vulnerabilities. Results show that integrating a dependency graph MCP server dramatically improves fix rates: Claude Code's success rate jumped from a mere 14% without MCP to over 98% with it. Meanwhile, Codex CLI already performed well (93%-100%) without MCP, but adding it made the tool run 1.7 times faster. The author has published the raw conversation logs and scoring code for community verification.
