Claude Project Knowledge Write Feature Fails

A user reported that Claude's Project knowledge write channel appears to be broken: both file uploads and direct text pasting via "paste as text" fail consistently. Meanwhile, Project Instructions can still be saved and updated normally.
This issue is reproducible across desktop web, mobile, old and new projects, and multiple browsers. It has persisted for 8 days. The status page shows no anomalies, suggesting an account-level problem. The poster submitted a support ticket over a week ago with no effective response and is reaching out to see if others have experienced this split failure (knowledge broken, instructions fine) and how it was eventually fixed.
