The Inria team applied their research on "curiosity-driven learning" to educational applications, designing ZPDES based on the Learning Progress Hypothesis.
By analyzing recent massive usage data (6 million+ exercises, 40,000+ students), they found that the learning progress driven by AI-powered personalized recommendations is significantly higher than that of teacher-curated practice paths.
