After upgrading from ChatGPT Plus to Pro, the author experienced a noticeable decline in performance during the first few minutes: instructions were ignored more frequently, task initiation was sluggish, it often got stuck "thinking," and outputs frequently missed requirements.
Expecting a more reliable experience, they instead found that paying a premium resulted in worse stability. They asked the community whether this is a capacity or gradual rollout issue, or if the Pro tier is inherently less stable in certain scenarios.
