Codex Delivers Low-Cost Prototyping
doodlestein · x · 2026-07-15
The author shared two recent experiences using Codex:
- First, generating expert-level PTX kernels in PTX Factory, costing about 5.6 sol.
- Later, a high school student tested Codex to experience AI.
- The author then spontaneously wanted to recreate the 1999 game Desktop Destroyer. Codex directly built a macOS Metal version for him, using only 4% of his weekly limit.
His conclusion: if this capability is scaled up, the possibilities are immense.
