Incremental Development for Agents: Managing AI Like a Tech Lead
teropa · x · 2026-07-15
Developers have found that having an AI Agent directly build the final form of a complex system often leads to design drift and makes corrections difficult. A better approach is incremental delivery: breaking tasks down into smaller goals, letting the Agent complete them step-by-step, and conducting manual reviews and directional adjustments after each step.
This essentially applies traditional agile development and tech lead management mindsets to the orchestration of AI Agents.
