Clean Up Secret Residues in Agent History
Ishannaik · reddit · 2026-07-15
An open-source CLI tool that scans the history and log files of local AI Agents (like Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) to find residual API keys, tokens, and credentials, redacting them in place.
The author emphasizes that this is strictly for local residue cleanup and does not replace key rotation; if valid keys have already been sent to cloud models, they should still be rotated immediately. The tool aims to wipe out secret residues on disk while preserving the readability of the history as much as possible.
