The author replied that GPT-5.6-sol is significantly better at generating kernel exploits than Opus 4.8.
They mentioned being stuck on a tricky race bug on a Pixel 10 for weeks; while Opus 4.8 knew the plan, it failed to execute and kept going in circles. GPT-5.6-sol, however, solved it with a single prompt. The author also noted that the model not only built the exploit but also improved its stability, as the bug itself was highly prone to crashing.
