Rumors suggest Google originally planned for Gemini 3.5 Pro to reach General Availability (GA) on July 17, but no official announcement has been made.
Insiders claim that due to shortcomings in mathematical reasoning, SVG scene generation, and image quality, Google scrapped an almost completed version to rebuild it from scratch. Additionally, 4 senior researchers have reportedly left for Anthropic. In contrast, while Gemini 3.5 Flash is already live, the Pro version remains available only as an enterprise preview.
