Managing Agent Systems with Metrics
davidmanheim · x · 2026-07-15
This is a single-page management method the author has used long-term: managing companies or large projects using metrics, while being mindful of Goodhart's Law—once a measure becomes a target, it ceases to be a good measure.
The author believes this approach is increasingly valuable for AI agent systems. Human feedback must be designed within an environment susceptible to metric distortion, rather than treating metrics as the absolute truth.
